  • The "About" button and menu option on the main dialog was changed to show the splash screen; the "Show Splash Screen" action was removed since both showed the same information

Version 2.0 - 11/10/2006

  • Fixed multiple bugs that prevented ROSTER from reading seeds correctly and converging properly for E>v+1.
  • Added “validateâ€? section in model definition file to check the number of juvenile and adult site and the number of adult age classes.
  • Improved input of user-defined parameters.
  • Removed option to re-run model using previous seeds.
  • Fixed bugs in Estimation Results, which did not correctly report results for E>v+1 or in the case where a transport site follows a non-transport site.
  • Fixed bug that prevented loading model in the case of a single adult detection site.
  • Default model sets detection and lambda parameters fixed to 0.9999999 if their seeds are equal to 1.
  • Fixed bugs that prevented default model from handling juvenile and adult censoring parameters correctly.
  • Fixed bug that prevented SA, SAU, SA(NJ), and SAU(NJ) from being reported in Estimation Results report in the case of no transportation.
  • Improved the interface by incorporating tabs.
  • Increased flexibility in multiple ways:
    • Allows user to input point estimates and variance estimates for transportation rates for untagged fish (tUi) and barge survival rate (SB).
    • Allows user to change configuration parameters for optimization algorithm (Fletch).
    • Enables user to re-run the model using the previous estimates as seeds (initial values), so that user does not need to manually change the seeds. This allows the user to confirm that the optimization routine converged to the true maximum likelihood parameter estimates
    • Allows user to randomly generate seeds, using the theoretical calculated seeds as starting points. Randomly generated seeds can be calculated in several ways. This allows the user to run the model multiple times with different initial values, providing stronger evidence that the optimization routine converged to the actual maximum likelihood parameter estimates
  • Simplified format of model file.
  • Corrected errors in existing performance measure estimates, and added performance measures including site-specific D (delayed mortality) values, juvenile inriver survival, and adult inriver survival.
  • Provided additional reports including the covariance matrix for the estimates, a text file containing estimates and standard errors of the model parameters, and a text file with estimates and standard errors for the performance measures.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented optimization routine from running more than two iterations.
  • Added legend to schematic.
  • Added the ability to analyze a data set with only a single adult detection site.
  • Increased ease of use by providing summary data reports before the model is run. These reports provide the user with information necessary for any alterations to be made to the default model file. These data reports are:
    • Basic data summary (available in previous version of ROSTER)
    • Sufficient statistics
    • Method of moment estimates
    • Fixed parameters
    • Parameter indices in the model

Version 1.3a - 7/11/2006

  • Fixed crash when estimation caused numerical errors in certain situations.

Version 1.3 - 7/6/2006

  • New performance measures added.
  • Ability to use previous estimates as seeds.
  • Ability to enter barge transportation parameters.
  • Ability to enter transportation-related parameters for untagged fish.
  • Additional reports added.
  • Capability to modify the Fletch optimizer settings.

Version 1.0c - 1/25/2006

  • Fixed issues concerning output format.

Version 1.0b - 11/2/2005

  • Fixed issue that caused load button to be disabled.

Version 1.0a - 11/2/2005

  • Fixed mislabeling issue. Labels for transported adult estimates (survival, capture, and censoring) were incorrectly incrementing for each successive transport site.
