Water Temperature Historical

graph historical Water Temperature Goodwin Dam with temperature thresholds
Historical daily water temperatures from 2007 to present date, Stanislaus River upstream of Knights Ferry for 60 day window before and after "current calendar date". Each "year" is the calendar year for the first date in the 121 day period. Water temperatures in degrees Fahrenheit are color-coded by threshold reference categories (1) steelhead alevins below 54 degrees Fahrenheit, (2) steelhead juveniles (suboptimal) above 68 degrees Fahrenheit, and (3) degrees Fahrenheit between the two. Temperature based coding is for reference only; fish are not present for all dates or all locations. Data from USGS gage 11302000 retrieved from NWIS; figure generated by SacPAS.
graph historical Water Temperature Goodwin Dam years overlayed
Historical daily water temperatures (in degrees Fahrenheit) from 2007 to present date, Stanislaus River upstream of Knights Ferry for 60 day window before and after "current calendar date". Each "year" is the calendar year for the first date in the 121 day period. For all data presented, the minimum Date Period Mean is plotted as Black dotted line. For all data presented, the maximum Date Period Mean is plotted as Black dashed line. Current year is indicated by Black bold solid line. Data from USGS gage 11302000 retrieved from NWIS; figure generated by SacPAS.

graph historical Water Temperature Vernalis years stacked
Historical daily water temperatures (in degrees Fahrenheit) from 2014 to present date, San Joaquin River near Vernalis for 60 day window before and after "current calendar date". Each "year" is the calendar year for the first date in the 121 day period. For all data presented, the minimum Date Period Mean is plotted as Black dotted line. For all data presented, the maximum Date Period Mean is plotted as Black dashed line. Current year is indicated by Black bold solid line. Data from VNS station retrieved from CDEC; figure generated by SacPAS.

Unimpaired Flow

Unimpaired flow is monitored February through June at specific locations in the Stanislaus, Tuolumne, and Merced rivers.

Plot of 6February to June unimpaired flows Stanislaus River
Plot of unimpaired flows Stanislaus River, February through June. Period accumulated Acre Feet values are an estimate based on converting daily average CFS to daily acre feet (cfs*1.9835) and summing for the period February 1 - June 30. Data from Stanislaus R Goodwin (SNS) and Stanislaus R at Koetitz Ranch (KOT) stations retrieved from CDEC; figure generated by SacPAS (including esimated accumulated flow volume and percent).
Plot of February to June unimpaired flows Tuolumne River
Plot of unimpaired flows Tuolumne River, February through June. Period accumulated Acre Feet values are an estimate based on converting daily average CFS to daily acre feet (cfs*1.9835) and summing for the period February 1 - June 30. Data from Tuolumne R La Grange Dam (TLG) and Tuolumne R at Modesto (MOD) stations retrieved from CDEC; figure generated by SacPAS (including esimated accumulated flow volume and percent).
