USER

User Specified Estimation Routine

The program USER is a flexible software tool that allows investigators to develop statistical models for analyzing tagging and counts data.

SampleSize

Calculates optimal sample sizes to obtain a desired study precision for fish and wildlife studies using release-recapture methods. This program can be used to construct multiple "what if" scenarios and observe the subsequent precision levels.

Guidance on use of CBR software is provided in the training videos and user's manual. Individual assistance can be requested by emailing web@cbr.washington.edu — we are happy to answer questions on our software.

PitPro

PitPro provides a user friendly, graphical interface (gui) for converting PTAGIS observation data into a format that is compatible with CBR programs SURPH and ROSTER. The program also provides data diagnostics and summaries.

ATLAS

Active Tag-Life-Adjusted Survival

Program ATLAS allows investigators to interactively model data from a tag-life study to produce a tag-life curve. The resulting failure time model is then used to produce bias adjusted estimates of survival for single-release, paired-release, and virtual/paired-release recapture designs.

A version of Program ATLAS for use within the R environment can be found on the cbrATLAS page.

SURPH

Survival Under Proportional Hazards

SURPH is an analytical tool for estimating survival using release-recapture data as a function of environmental and experimental effects. These effects may apply to a population (such as ambient temperature) or an individual (such as body length). SURPH provides flexible modeling capability for selecting the most parsimonious models, and diagnostic reports and graphs for analysing data and selected models. Hypothesis testing can be done with Likelihood Ratio Test, AIC, or Analysis of Deviance.
