    • Year: year of sampling
    • sampleID: unique fish sample identification number, which includes the sampling site, year of outmigration, and fish number
    • Axis: axis in representative degree (ø) starting with the lateral side of the scale closest to the dorsal side of the fish
    • max_circulus: maximum number of circuli of the scale
    • Temp_C: average November?August river temperature near Anatone, Washington.
The fish scale data used in the von Bertalanffy growth model (Table 1) are in:
  • VAL_LGR_scale_data_CircAge.csv - The column headers and data descriptions for this file are as follows:
    • sampleID: unique fish sample identification number, which includes the sampling site, year of outmigration, and fish number
    • Site: sampling location (LGR = Lower Granite Dam; VAL = Valley Creek)
    • Year: year of sampling
    • Regen: regeneration index (Original, Small, or Large)
    • fishno: unique fish sample number in each sampling year
    • Axis: axis in representative degree (ø) starting with the lateral side of the scale closest to the dorsal side of the fish
    • Circulus: circulus number starting from the focus of the scale
    • Length: distance from the focus to the first circulus or between each pair of adjacent circuli
