The juvenile fish fork length and mass data are available in:
- VAL_length_mass.csv for the subyearlings sampled at Valley Creek, Idaho
- LGR_length_mass.csv for the yearlings sampled at Lower Granite Dam, Washington
The fish scale data are available in:

- sampleID: unique fish sample identification number, which includes the sampling site, year of outmigration, and fish number
- Site: sampling location (LGR = Lower Granite Dam; VAL = Valley Creek)
- Year: year of sampling
- Regen: regeneration index (Original, Small, or Large)
- fishno: unique fish sample number in each sampling year
- Axis: axis in representative degree (ø) starting with the lateral side of the scale closest to the dorsal side of the fish
- Circulus: circulus number starting from the focus of the scale
- Length: distance from the focus to the first circulus or between each pair of adjacent circuli
- cumLength: distance from the focus to the circulus being measured
- Max_circulus: maximum number of circuli of the scale
- Circulus_age: estimated age (assumed to be 8 months for subyearlings and 18 months for yearlings) by the maximum number of circuli observed for each fish
